ArtsPark Art Wall 2022

The CreateSpace Public Art Residency is a national program designed in consultation with advisors from coast to coast, to provide emerging Black, Indigenous and racialized artists with the skills, relationships and practical experience needed to take their public art practice to the next level.

Artist Statement: CreateSpace artist-in-residence Stephanie Babij facilitated group painting at the ArtsPark Festival and Market in Ottawa, Ontario, resulting in this temporary public artwork. The mural represents the natural environment surrounding the park and is inspired by the invisible flow of energy that exists around us.
