This project is part of I HeART Main Street, a program supporting Business Improvement Areas (BIAs) with the support they need to activate their main streets through public art and placemaking. This program engages BIAs, local artists and businesses across Ontario to create more vibrant and safe communities.

Artist Statement: These vinyl sidewalk decals depict heritage sites and encourage visitors to the Cooksville BIA to take part in a historic walk along Hurontario and Dundas West.
About the BIA: The Cooksville Business Improvement Area (CVBIA) is a municipally approved not-for-profit business group that serves over 500 local brick and mortar businesses within a defined boundary. Our mandate is to organize, finance, and carry out physical improvements and promote economic development in our district with the support of the municipality. Some of our partners include The City of Mississauga, Mississauga Board of Trade (MBOT), Tourism Mississauga and Ontario Business Improvement Area Association (OBIAA).
