Danielle Hyde

About the Artist

Danielle Hyde is a multi-disciplinary Indigenous artist and persons with a disability (OCD). She is a member of the Red Urban Nation Artist Collective (RUN) creating Indigenous murals and place-making.

Her artwork blends traditional and non-traditional mediums, painting, photography with public art and performance. Centering this practice is recognizing the fundamental generosity and agency of Art as alive. This approach challenges colonial ideas of mastery, ownership and treating Land and People as property.
