This project is part of I HeART Main Street, a program supporting Business Improvement Areas (BIAs) with the support they need to activate their main streets through public art and placemaking. This program engages BIAs, local artists and businesses across Ontario to create more vibrant and safe communities.
Project Type: Temporary Exhibit
Artist: Yaara Eshet
Artist Statement: With fewer people on the quieter streets, more wildlife have been roaming the city. This piece allows visitors to stop for a moment and look around to give respect to the creatures that live in the area and enrich the surroundings to restore some of the innocence lost in the urban noise.
The fun sidewalk decals were placed along Dundas St. W between Bathurst and Grace St!
About the BIA: Trinity Bellwoods on Dundas is within the beating heart of downtown Toronto, nestled along Dundas Street West from Bathurst Street to Grace Street. You don't have to go far to find a zingy cocktail or the right brew, be it coffee or beer, and the perfect little place to savour it. Specialty shops and a vanguard of Canadian design businesses offer more to discover. Everywhere, you will meet locals who are passionate about their wares and eager to share their knowledge.
Thank you to our additional supporters!
